Excitement for the Ignite Conference

Ignite, the Palo Alto Networks Conference, is fast approaching. I can tell you that I’m excited because true to its name, it will be the largest gathering of next-generation firewall experts in the world. There’s nowhere else that you can hear and meet so many people responsible for deploying the next-generation firewall in production environments. These are people who deliver value to the business by keeping the network safe, and are using the next-generation firewall as the cornerstone of that strategy.

I’m honored to welcome Mr. Jøergen Seemann from Sitecore, who is traveling from Denmark to be one of the guest speakers at Ignite. Sitecore is a leader in the web content management market space, with worldwide operations.  Mr. Seemann is Internal IT Manager for Sitecore, and directly involved in the global deployment of the next-generation firewall, with installation sites in Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, Australia and the United States among others.

One of the security topics that’s top of mind with Sitecore is maintain security for all users, especially for ones on the road. As a global software company, Sitecore has a highly mobile workforce, with employees spending time with customers and partners all over the world. One of their security requirements is to make sure that policy is enforced consistently for all users, no matter whether they are working in the office or remotely. The company uses GlobalProtect, in conjunction with the next-generation firewall, to provide the consistent policy enforcement that they need in all locations, for all users. It’s implemented as an “Always-On” solution, meaning that even remote users are always on the corporate network and protected by policy from the next-generation firewall.

Mr. Seemann will be on the stage at the session “Deploying the Logical Perimeter” at Ignite. If you’d like to hear more about what Sitecore is doing with GlobalProtect and the next-generation firewall, sign up today for Ignite at Wynn Las Vegas.
